How can I use OviSuite with N2O5?
It is very easy! Just follow these steps! You’ll just have to do it once!
Open RomPatcher and enable FWVersionInC patch, and set it to Autostart (options –> Add to auto). Check that Open4All is enabled too and set to Autostart. Then open i8910tuning app (remember, it needs Qt 4.7.3 package to work) and go to the FirmwareID selection screen (just click on FirmwareID from the main screen, or swipe to the upper screen) and select 5800’s FirmwareID.
Now start OviSuite and enjoy! 🙂
Question: I see the wrong icon in OviSuite when I plug the i8910 via USB, as it happens with all the other custom firmwares, is there anything I can do?
Answer: YES! n2o5 has a new OviSuite mod that also mods the icon you see in OviSuite! All you have to do is delete all the files with type “Icon” (extension .ico) which are in C:/ProgramData/PCSuite/ConfServ/ on your computer, and then Reboot your computer for the changes to take effect! (if you can do this,it’s enough to close OviSuite’s process from TaskManager). Once you’ll start OviSuite and plug i8910, you’ll see the right icon appearing! 😉

What if I want to enable Task3D or Nav3D?
You just have to copy ONE of these text files (unpack zip first) to C:/ on your phone (use FileBrowser, which is in Office submenu).

Most probably, you have not installed Qt 4.7.3 libraries.
You can get them from here.
What if I want to install Samsung software you have removed from n2o5?

Hi, I’m using a chinese pack, everything is fine, however, I still cannot connect OVI suite 3.1.0.91 (chinese version). I have followed your kind instruction to switch on the patches already (note: this ovi suite is work when i use the older CFW. any suggestion to me? thank you

prova con powerboot mettendo in avvio automatico Nav3DApp.exe ….ma non so se si risolva, il problema è che a quanto pare nav3dapp deve partire con una priorità più alta del normale per funzionare bene
sembrerebbe risolto! ho installato powerboot e IWantTask3D&NAV3D.sis che usavo nella n204 e và alla perfezione! funziona pure n2o3_IWantMemoryCardIcon.sis per visualizzare l’icona della memory card..senti potresti testare pure tu? così vado sul sicuro..grazie sei un grande..

i successfully flashed your rom but i can’t get the ovisuite to work.
when i activate fwversion in c and change the ID to 5800 the ovisuite will not recognize the phone as nokia.
but if i type in ” *#0000# ” to check which firmware is installed there you can see that the phone really is a “5800”
why does the ovisuite not recognize my phone?
In Windows XP I do not have the problem so I successfully connected my device with the OviSuite.
But it still don’t work with Windows 7 64 Bit

Due domande:
1) Come da te suggerito, ho rinunciato al NAV3D (sarebbe stato figo ma amen, se è lento e buggato posso farne a meno) ma ho scaricato e copiato il file del TASK3D il c come da te indicato. Anche dopo aver fatto reboot, però, il task 3d non è attivo. Devo fare qualcos’altro? Ho sbagliato qualcosa?
2) Ho scaricato la versione del firmware che avrebbe dovuto avere la home screen non fixata e personalizzata con flash, ma di fatto la home è quella normale di samsung. Ho visto che c’è un file flash in E, ma non saprei come cambiare la home. Ho anche googlato in giro e dato un occhiata qui sul tuo sito, ma non trovo informazioni a riguardo. Hai suggerimenti?

per il task3d, come è scritto nella pagina apposita, serve avere installato Qt 4.7.3.
Per la homescreen flash, basta che cambi il file gadget.swf con quello di altre homescreen. Ogni homescreen ha le sue istruzioni poi, prova a cercare ancora 😉
Ho già QT installato, per poter usare startbackup e sopratutto i8919tuning, ma non va il task 3d in ogni caso… Se sai darmi altre info apprezzerò, sennò pazienza, non era fondamentale, solo carino 🙂
Quanto alla homescreen flash quindi basta che googlo un pò e dovrei trovarne in giro? Proverò…
Comunque ne approfitto per segnalarti, senza alcuna intenzione di accusa ma solo di segnalazione, che il mio omnia hd con il tuo firmware mi ha creato non pochi problemi in questa settimana di vacanza: il primo giorno è andato in startup loop, costringendomi ad un hard reset che ha cancellato tutti i messaggi e la musica e i video all’interno senza poterli recuperare. In secondo luogo ho girato alcuni video in 720p per scoprire poi che vanno a scatti, salta l’audio e mancano interi fotogrammi 🙁
Tranquillo, il danno non è immane, ma mi è spiaciuto un pò. Sto per rifleshare tutto, e vedremo come va.
Per quanto riguarda il loop, cercherò di capire cosa lo causa: per quanto riguarda me, è successo quando ho cercato di usare il gps e vedevo che non agganciava satelliti neanche dopo 5 minuti. Ho deciso di provare a spegnere e riaccendere, e li è andato in loop. Probabilmente il fatto che il gps non funzionasse è non causa ma sintomo che già era accaduto qualcosa al cellulare e che già il danno era fatto…
If you want fm radio without headset go to filebrowser z/sys/bin/FMRadioTest.exe clik on it open and click 1. Rx Mode and again 1. Radio on and 4-5 key up-down to menage frequency..up volume is 6 key and down volume 7. 😉
This is probably a bit lame, but I’ve been a hyperx user for quite some time, but I want to change to this n205 version of you. But could you tell me if it comes along with Phonetorch and the OraTsu homescreen?
Or maybe a list of what things come preinstalled on the rom so I know what I have to look for.
I’ve tried looking for a changelog but I can’t seem to find that.
And is there going to be a .2 version of this one or not? Otherwise it’s probably best that I wait a bit longer.

I’ve just flashed my phone + flashed the dutch language pack, and I have to say that everything looks and feels really smooth. I do have one tiny problem though, the Homescreen (Or just the background, I don’t know) stays white (except for the connection bar up top and menu bar down below). What can I do about that?

Hi Faenil,just installed n205 yesterday it was awesome. I have a major issue sounds and keying. I installed z:’n205musthave’ with only English selected as language and did soft reset. the swipe or keyboard input became ok after several installations. However,they get messy once i open skype(ovistore). All sounds (including keypad tone) goes off when i try to make the first call with skype error “call failed”. Even skype’test sound / echo client’ calls failed. When tried to call-in from friend’s skype account from other device it receives call and if answered,freezes and takes no input, doesn’t connect and the other device (htc hd2 wm6.5) displays ‘remote sound i/o error’. From a PC error reads ‘contact can only receive IM’
In addition, the keyboard in portrait mode becomes slower or freezes.
